Cebu City's tourism industry is characterized mainly as historical, cultural and religious.

Being the trade and service center in the region, the city accommodated an estimated 80% of the region's total tourist arrivals, mostly domestic and business tourists. It also indirectly  accommodated about 80% of the holiday and adventure-seeking tourists, as the city is also noted as a recreation and shopping destination in the region.

The Taoist Temple located in the Beverly Hills Subd., Cebu City is one of the frequently visited places in the city by tourists and the locals alike.
